Kanye West X Takashi Murakami Good Morning Video


Today Aug. 26 is the official public premier for Kanye’s “” music video. Previously it could only viewed at Takashi Murakami’s exhibitions in select cities. The “Good Morning” video features Kanye West as a bear who wakes up late to his graduation ceremony. Along the way he runs into a couple obstacles.

If you don't know, Takashi Murakami is a world famed artist. He is very influential in the design, art, and fashion circles. He also did this Video Spot For Luis Vuitton, Check it.

Dorophy Tang+Addidas

Tunes with the Kicks-Pharrell+Santogold+Julian Casablancas

Converse claims the song of the summer produced by Pharrell, N.E.R.D., Santogold and Julian Casablancas for the "Three Artists, One Song" campaign. The artist came together to create the song "My Drive Thru." The song is now available for free download on the Converse. Stussy+G-Shock watch celebrating the 25th anniversary was revealed at Stussy Harajuku shop, but wondering what about other markets like the States?? It will be dropping the same time. The watch has a very classy look in all black. The face has Stussy's graphics and features name of 4 flagship cities printed on the band.

PlayStation Faucet For The "True Playa"

Luxury faucet company Jado just dropped a faucet for the true playa, designed by renowned designer type Jean Nouvel. The new faucet gets it's inspiration from the PlayStation. No taps, levers, knobs and blue =cold/red = hot. Jean Nouvel has chosen to incorporate the PlayStation controls into the faucet functions, O turns the water on, X turns the water off, triangle turns the temperature up, triangle turns the temperature down. There's no square but, You get the design Idea? No price on it yet.

Sotheby's (Red) Auction

For Valentine's Day this year, why not get the one you love a one-of-a-kind work of art? Bono and Damien Hirst have teamed up with Sotheby's and Gagosian Gallery for the (Red) Auction, which will take place on February 14 and will showcase works inspired by the color red (all proceeds will go to benefit HIV/AIDS programs in Africa). FENDI × Bearbricks

Fast forward to 2008, both Fendi and specialty boutique Kirna Zabête are introducing their takes on the collectible playthings.

Fendi, in celebration of the tenth anniversary of its cult Baguette bag, has issued a limited-edition of 10 miniature Bearbricks, each personalized with the fashion house’s logo in the same bright, cheery hues as the 10 anniversary-edition Baguettes. Fashioned in three different sizes, including the macro 1000% edition), the super fashionable Japanese toys, however, won’t be available to the public. Instead, Fendi will install the robots in their store windows in the coming months. A handful of VIP clients, however, have been earmarked to receive them as a personal thank you for being loyal Fendi devotees and shoppers. Look out for an eBay near you.

Vivisect Playset IV + Chu-Kins Art Show Dec 1st. (SF)

"Fridys Off The 405" Free event Oct. 26th. @ Getty Center (LA)

Huck Gee- Raku "Good Morning" Narazumono Dunnys 9/14 Release


Huck Gee will drop this custom Raku "Good Morning" Narazumono Dunny (10 pieces) on Friday, September 14th @ his eBay store. This intrepid explorer steps out of Huck's print and into 3D as a custom Dunny. Each of the ten signed and numbered pieces (w/gold embossing on the back of the ear) will go for $600. Huck did a great job with these -- love the Raccoon face and the bushy tail. So this release begs the question, will we see a Raku "Good Evening" Ninja Dunny ?

BLOC28 at Vault 28

Span of Sunset x Disney are presenting the BLOC28 event at Disney’s hi-end boutique Vault 28 on August 2nd. BLOC28 event is an art and product launch show featuring five contemporary artists doing their interpretations of an American Icon, Mickey Mouse. Some really great artists will be in action, they are Slick, Mear One, Steven Daly, David Flores, and Greg Simkins who will be showing their artwork featuring Mickey. BLOC28 products such as limited edition of 100 pcs of each t-shirt from each artist will also be available for purchase for the first time.

Mr. Cartoon "Lost Angel" Toy Release Party (SoCal)



Tattoo artist, Mr. Cartoon is set to release the 2nd installment of his “Lost Angel” series. This limited edition toy will have it’s release party this Saturday, July 14th. Attendees of the release party held at Harley-Davidson / Buell of Glendale will have a full day of activities which include not only displays filled with some of Mr. Cartoon’s greatest lowriders and custom bikes from LA as well as a motorcycle stunt show by Jason Pullen. Mr. Cartoon himself will be on hand to sign toys from 1:00pm -3:00pm. Guests will also be treated to music from DJ Muggs (Soul Assassins/Cypress Hill) as well as tacos, ice cream and drinks. The toys itself will be available publicly on July 15th at a cost of $150.00 USD.

Hiroshi Fujiwara + Jukai + AdFuture

Here is a preview of the vinyl figure AdFuture will be Producinfg of Japanese streetwear guru and international style maker Hiroshi Fujiwara. Hiroshi has played an intrical roll in Harajuku fashion trends and movements. The vinyl figure will be designed by Jukai and produced by adFunture. Not much more on this except it will be very limited with apparently minimal distribution / availability in the USA.
