He has not only made a name for himself as an outstanding DJ but also respected as a producer and remixer. J Dilla Project-Walk to Cure Lupus Oct.20 (Chi-town/ATL)

J Dilla suffered for over three years with an incurable blood disease, diagnosed with lupus He continued to make great music, producing records for several artist. Unfortunaley on February 10th, 2006 he lost his fight with the disease. He will forever be remembered leaving behind a body of work which will be loved and rediscovered for years to come.

The Alliance for Lupus Research has initiated a nationwide Walk program that is designed to raise both awareness and dollars for the fight against lupus.
